The Clinical Social Work Society of Delaware is especially concerned with the issues and practice of Clinical Social Work.
It promotes high standards of Clinical Social Work practice and training through continuing education programs, legislative and professional activities. The Society's Awards Program is one way to support and acknowledge high standards of Clinical Social Work education and practice for our professional colleagues.
THE EXCELLENCE AND INNOVATION IN CLINICAL PRACTICE AWARD
Nominees (yourself or another) must be an LCSW. Practice innovations or scholarly papers submitted must be on a clinical topic .They will be
evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Theoretical ideas are clearly presented and understood.
- Clinical material integrates the theoretical ideas presented (clinical vignettes are encouraged).
- Ideas presented represent new innovations to deal with a clinical dilemma that other colleagues might learn and incorporate into their practice.
THE OUTSTANDING STUDENT CLINICAL PAPER AWARD This award is one way for the Society to support and acknowledge high standards for clinical
education of new professionals, therefore papers submitted must be on a clinical topic. This award will be presented to one MSW student each academic year. The papers will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Theoretical ideas are clearly presented and understood.
- Clinical material integrates the theoretical ideas presented (clinical vignettes are encouraged).
- Writing style is of high quality.
These awards will be presented annually.
They both include: a Certificate of Accomplishment, recognition from your profession at the Clinical Social Work Society of Delaware Annual Membership Meeting, press releases in the Society Newsletter and in your local newspaper, and an honorarium.
Submit your proposal by February 1. Please include three copies of your own paper or description of a practice innovation OR the nomination of a colleague to:
