WHAT IS A CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER ?

A Clinical Social Worker is a mental health professional with advanced graduate training  in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of emotional, mental and behavioral disorders in individuals, families and groups.

Delaware law regulates the practice of Clinical Social Work. The professional title “LCSW” indicates completion of a Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work with internship, clinical supervision, a national examination, annual professional continuing education, and adherence to a specific Code of Ethics.
